Insight: Internal analytics showed a drop in engagement. My previous need-to-belief was that the keyword “Etsy Tag Generator” would drive some of the 1-10k searches a month to the tool. This turned out to be false. I can imagine it is because there already exist so many tag generators which makes BeeSpeedy look like another useless generator. Also, I discovered that users don’t want an “improvement offer” but instead they’d prefer a new opportunity. This is potentially another need-to-belief, but it has shown to bear fruits in the past.

I can’t describe in words how excited I am!

I’ve decided to completely move on from my analyzer extension and focus on improving this tool. I believe this one is 100% more useful than the other. The reason is that this new tool can help sellers like me find keywords that are much more relevant than the first tool.

New Project

After working on the BeeSpeedy Extension 3.1.6 a technical revelation merged.

The revelation will be able to help users create titles and tags more seamlessly with fewer cognitive demands.

This new extension is aimed at helping Etsy sellers who believe in using titles and tags with phrases people search for.

The new extension will answer these questions:

• What do people search for that is relevant to my listing?
• How do I find these searches?
• How can I create new titles and tags from the findings?

This release highlights the beginning of this project.

Price Calculator Log Improved

The Price Calculator was removed in January 2024.

After a long break, there’s finally a new release on BeeSpeedy!

• The Price Calculator has an improved log. Now it’s easier to see the actual calculations.

Create unique personal combos – released for free

One of the missing features for the public access (free version) is that you can’t tell if you used duplicate words when creating combinations. This was only accessible in PRO, but I decided to release one PRO feature so that there is a way for users to get aided in creating unique combos.

This release consists of:

• Create your own combinations feature: on selecting a combo, the buttons will be grayscaled if that word is already used.
• Mobile intuitive UI improved: if something updates, scroll to update

Mobile UI and Bug Fixes

A small release that consists of improvements for mobile devices. More improvements coming next week.

New Pricing Tool!

The Price Calculator was removed in January 2024.

Deciding on a net price is very hard because of all the extra fees from Etsy and other factors like VAT. It is quite tedious to calculate every fee one by one. So here we are, a new tool just for this situation!

One of the features is the Word Box: To make the tools more efficient and fast, a feature was added to allow Etsy sellers to quickly use saved words from the so-called “word box”! Pro users can save their own words into the word box 🙂

• when removing a keyword, we no longer delete or change the previous keyword by accident, because we typed too fast
• the counter is now more accurate: one letter in the keyword is required for it to count as a keyword

Commitment to sharing the idea

BeeSpeedy got its name and the vision of sharing simple tools for others was born. This marks the day I started to design the UI for others.

The idea was born

At this time, BeeSpeedy had no name, and tools were designed for personal use.

“Why does it take so long to create one title??” I thought to myself. It felt weird because I wanted my attention to be on my products and not get stuck on titles, tags, and keywords. Luckily for me, I knew how to remove my pain by developing simple web tools. At that time I did not have the considerate thought of sharing my tools. But after some time I started to wonder.. “are there more people like me who feels the pain of creating titles and finding keywords?”.
